The intensive Intermediate Portuguese course with a 140 contact hours of language instruction involves about 20 hours a week, four hours per day (9am-13pm) , five days a week. Students will be graded on two oral tests 40%; a final exam 30%; participation and attendance 20%; homework 10%.
This course is designed to review and expand students’ skills and competences. By the end of this course, students will be able to use and understand more complex vocabulary and structures, describe experiences and events, give opinion and explanations, produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialization. The cost of the seven-week program is $2,500 that includes the tuition fee and local excursions.
